1.9 — A General PROCESS for Transformative Reconciliation

January 9th, 2012

This is Ethiopian Review Policy Research Center’s series on From Dictatorship to Democracy extracted/quoted from books and articles published by Albert Einstein Institution and similar sources

The accommodation to be made through the Process of Transformative Reconciliation is not one of compensation to fellow human beings who have been misjudged as less than equal.

It is for building tolerance among peoples who inevitably have distinct traditions, cultures and histories.

It is for peaceful coexistence among distinct and inherently different groups.

The Process of Transformative Reconciliation is for building respect for differences, communicating across those differences and celebrating unique ways of being.
